NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' “But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' “He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' “Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' “ 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'“He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' ” Luke 16:19-31 NIV
Did you notice that there is no indication that it was told in a parable? The Bible, I think, reveals it as an event..
What is Abraham’s bosom? If you read the Bible carefully, you will notice that it was said before Jesus died on the cross, before God raised Him up in victory. (John 8:54)
I have heard a false teaching which comfortingly says that a good person goes to paradise, but really? Read this article again..
Do you think a bad person would care how to save others from hell? I didn’t know him, so I don’t know how bad or good he was. And yet, if he was bad, how terrible is hell if a bad person dosen’t want others to go there? Let’s say he wasn’t a bad person. The question arises, how did a good person end up in hell? What kind of people do you think go to hell?
The truth of the Bible is that there is no other way to God but Jesus. All others lead to destruction. Even a good man goes to hell if he does not have Christ. (Acts 4:12, Galatians 1:7, Isaiah 45:22, Deuteronomy 4:39). Often heard such a phrase as: God wants to save everyone.. it is true. (Ezekiel 33:11, Luke 9:56, Isaiah 64:4, Hosea 13:4, Ezekiel 18:23) It’s not for nothing that there is rejoicing in the sky when one of his sins returns.. the question involuntarily arises: “why, at the request of the rich man, send one of the dead to his father’s house to tell him how terrible hell is.. the rich man gets the answer:.. they have Moses and the prophets, let them listen to them.. ?”. Yes, this answer came from Abraham, but God can do it.. why do you think Jesus told this? I think that’s why everyone has to make the decision by himself to be saved.. don’t get me wrong, Christ did everything.. Because everyone who believes in Jesus has eternal life.. (John 3:15, Acts 13:39, Acts 10:43, John 3:36). Since God is loving, He left people with a choice – to accept or not.. making known the results of both decisions.. (Proverbs 12:28, Jeremiah 21:8)
