It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak “2 Corinthians 4:13 NIV
Does it still require comments?
“…. how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Matthew 12:34 NIV
A large number of Christians today say – I don’t have to do anything, if it is God’s will, it will happen. Know someone who says that? In reality, words are like a cup that fills until it’s full and it overflows – good or bad it depends on what you say, but when it overflows, your words are realized. God’s will is that you speak life-filled words, so that your life is overflowing with goodness.
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” Hebrews 10:35-36 NIV
God mentions in this scripture that there are 2 things you must do in order for you to receive your promise.
- Do not abandon your trust in God and His Word.
- Needed endurance – patience not to give up.
What is God’s role? He will fulfill the promise and watch over you to receive it. God will not do your work. Your job is not to give up your trust – faith and endurance or patience not to give up. Your attitude towards everything, the words you say and your persistence determine your future. If you say a statement often enough, you begin to believe it, and if you believe it, it comes true. Good or bad, it’s up to you. God makes sure that His promises are fulfilled, the evil one makes sure that all the bad things you say come true!
My tongue will proclaim your righteousness, your praises all day long. Psalm 35:28 NIV
How long to talk? All day – it will then continuously say both the righteousness and the glory of God.
so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NIV
Everything you say in faith comes back to you fulfilled! I asked myself questions, how much do I speak good things, my dreams, that they will come true, God’s promises? How willing am I to do what needs to be done to make it come true? And the last question – how long am I ready to do it?
Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation. ”Psalm 50:23 NIV
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, today I ask you to show me the fruits of my lips and if they are not pleasing to you, help me to recognize them and change them, so that my lips bear only fruits pleasing to you. In the name of Jesus Christ – Amen!
