Are we a gift to others? And what gift are we to others?

For many, Christmas is a time of gift-giving and receiving. Gifts please us, excite us, make us happy… But sometimes when we open the beautiful packaging, we are disappointed. Are we a gift to others? And what gift are we to others?

First impression! We’ve all heard of it. The impression of the first moment cannot be changed. We ourselves often judge others by their appearance. We look at a person’s clothing, hairstyle, shoes…we assess whether everything is clean and tidy. And others judge us that way too…

Why do we “package” ourselves cheaply? No, I don’t mean expensive, trendy cloths. I mean – why do virtuous Christian girls and women dress in frivolous fashion? In addition, hopes to meet and start a family with a responsible, reliable and loving man. I think – why do virtuous Christian young men go looking for their soulmate in a night club or starts a chat on the Internet with the owner of indecent photos. In addition, I hope to meet and build a family with a caring, loving and faithful girl or woman…

Christmas is considered a miraculous time when the silent longings of the heart can be fulfilled. Many, watching romantic movies about a lifelong soulmate they met at Christmas, hope that this will happen to them too… But should Christians, feeling lonely, throw themselves into “temporary” relationships? Is it acceptable for a Christian couple to start living together before marriage? Is it chaste and pure?

So many unanswered questions. You can look for answers within yourself, in your conscience, because it is God’s voice within you… Read and look for answers in the Holy Scriptures:

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral..” Hebrews 13:4

And Pharisees came up to him and rtested him by asking, s“Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” He answered, t“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, u‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and vthe two shall become one flesh’?  So they are no longer two but one flesh. wWhat therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.Matthew 19:3-6

Ask for the power and advice of the Holy Spirit to discover and understand the great mystery of God – Ephesians 5:32

Christmas is coming…Everything is white and clean in nature…Jesus has saved us – WE ARE THE MOST BELOVED AND PRECIOUS GIFT TO GOD! He created us undefiled, He wants us to live virtuously.

In case anyone has forgotten, virtuous means pure, chaste, clean.  And there is a simple formula to stay pure and untainted. Let’s not go where we cannot take Jesus with us. Let’s not do what is shameful before God. Let’s discard thoughts and words that hurt and humiliate ourselves and others.

I wish everyone a pure, clear-hearted and loving Christmas!
