NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
/Hebrews 11:6 NIV
Faith is not a temporary movement, a momentary realization that passes away. Faith cannot be considered a temporary investment in my life. Faith should be the lifestyle of every new born Christian. A lifestyle to which God himself has called us and even pointed us.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
/Hebrews 11:1 NIV
What are your dreams? Are your dreams turning from hope to faith that God will abundantly fulfill your dream in your life? My discovery that hope is my desires that replace bad thoughts is in accordance with God’s Word and spoken in faith they become my future.
God rewards those who continue to live in faith.
For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.
/Hebrews 4:2 NIV
How do you connect your faith with the Word of God?
I will mention as an example the leader of my church, she always to thanks and says that she accepts what God have wished. Shortly after that, God spoke to me that we also have to confirm the promises with our lips – I accept. And not only accept, but also expect. Faith patiently waits and waits.
One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.
/Luke 5:17 NIV
What would heal?
All, including the Pharisees and teachers of the law, every one who was there. (I recommend reading the whole chapter) If you read further, you will understand that no Pharisee and teacher of the law was healed. Why? They were there, they heard the preached word, Jesus had the power to heal, but still none of them was healed when they left. Why? Because they were there to accuse Jesus, they all had unbelief. Attitude of the heart – you can’t receive if you have unbelief, resentment.
Has anything changed nowadays? We can go to the Divine Service, be in it, praise God, hear His Word, but not connecting what we heard with faith, being in unbelief (coming guided by other motives), being resentful of anyone, we can leave the same as we came… Is that your purpose in life? Living with the mind in consent but not the heart in faith?
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You and surrender all my burdens, all my resentments and with a true and pure heart I seek You in faith. I accept by faith every promise You have made and every favor You give me today. In the Name of Jesus Christ-Amen!
