NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
John 14:23 NIV
Thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the Word of God that we take in daily through the Bible, we have a relationship with God.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15:7 NIV
When we have spent enough time in God’s Word, it takes root deeper and deeper in our hearts, in our consciousness, transforms even our thinking and lifestyle (it becomes a part of us). A changed prayer life follows! Each prayer is more and more based on the Word of God. And every prayer based on the Word of God and coming from the heart is fulfilled! And the Bible already reveals to us that any prayer that is prayed based on God’s Word is God’s will!
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2 NIV
As I mentioned above, God’s Word changes everything, but on the condition that we spend enough time reading it, reflecting on it and acting on God’s Word.
There is something important – renewal of the mind takes place throughout life! And so the Word of God must fill your heart throughout your life so that renewal can continue…
(If we go deeper and think about the values and positions of God and the worldly, then we will see that they are mostly opposite values and positions in outlook/ living/ behavior/ thinking).
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
When thinking and acting every day, can you say that God would act the same as you at that very moment? Looking at yourself, can you say that you are a reflection of God?
(I personally asked myself these questions this summer. It made me look at myself from the outside, go back to the Bible and fill my heart, thoughts and mouth with what God says – who I am.)
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for pouring Your Holy Word and truth into my heart, through which my whole life is renewed. I pray, Lord, that my every step and action in my life will reflect You! I ask You this in the name of Your Son – Jesus Christ, Amen!
