NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
NESAM DIEVA GAISMU PASAULĒ
Even though the school year has just started and many things are happening for the first time, I often hear phrases like “I don’t know what to do”, “I’m struggling”, “I can put it off”, “I’m not inspired right now”.
This August marks one year since I have been the Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator and Youth leader at Liepaja’s Methodist Church. So far, I thought the “hottest” period of the year is summer, because of preparing and running the camp programme, writing reports, etc. But this year I realized that the “hottest” time of the year is the beginning of autumn, when I need to ask God’s wisdom to come into my heart and give me a vision for the whole year to come!
I praise and thank God for His presence in every decision I make, but is it really as easy as it sounds? My answer is NO! Trusting God in such a stressful time is not easy at all, finding ideas and thoughts may not be easy either, you may feel drained, powerless, without the desire to do anything, we are only human, it happens! But this is the breaking point, when you realize that without His help, in your own strength, you will not be able to do much.
GOD IS INSPIRATION!
You just have to want to reach it yourself! Pray, praise, read the Bible, get to know God better! Let Jesus be your friend! Invite the Holy Spirit to work in your life! Maybe sometimes you think you do not hear God, but are you listening? Is your relationship with Jesus built on a strong foundation? Or do you prefer to live here on earth and remember God only when you need Him?
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7 these said words prove that God will take care of us! Sometimes it’s not easy to do it alone, so I encourage you to go to a Christian event, go to Sunday school, teens or young adults’ meetings, go to a Christian camp or weekend, find a friend who believes and has a living relationship with Jesus!
Matthew 7:7 says – Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. I invite you to start with the smallest step towards God and your life will change! Ask, seek, give your worries to Him, open your heart to change and you will receive – strength, encouragement, ideas and much more! But more about that you will find in the next newsletters of “Bākuguns”.
