All people on this earth face sadness

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV

All people on this earth face sadness when dear and close people leave life.  And many, through their mourning, blame themselves, other people, God… God does not kill. He is life and love.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17 NIV

It is customary for us to express our condolences when a loved one is lost, but these words are not reassuring.

True comfort comes only from God. God knows every day you have lived and the one you have never experienced before!  Moreover, God knows all your events, misunderstandings, circumstances you are in now. He understands your suffering and heartache. He sympathizes with you.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. “Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!” John 11:33-36 NIV

God wants to take you step by step to get you out of mourning. He invites you to give all your pain to Him and trust in Him. Are you ready for that?

He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. ” Psalm 91:15-16 NIV

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for all the days of my life on this earth and for my redemption. I say thank you that You have always been by my side. May the power of Your joy be for me. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
