“Brotherhood and Friendship”

I think it’s a huge privilege that we can call each other brother or sister. We all have the same thing: Heavenly Father, Savior. We are in the same Family in the Kingdom of Heaven. And being together in the church of Christ, we can call each other brother or sister. If we start thinking about what the church is, what the meaning of the church is, and especially for the people around us, it overwhelms with a great sense of joy! Do we have close childhood or youth friends? The ones we can stand on and fall on?

Yes, it is interesting how man-made! In fact, it is such a great gift of God’s grace that we yearn and seek relationships, friendships: real, intimate, and true friendships that won’t disappoint or give up! We can all have a HUGE POTENTIAL to become good and sincere friends for each other!

Psalm 1:1-6 NIV Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Here, too, two categories of people are mentioned: an unreliable and trustworthy person; the wicked and the pious. Who are you? In life we always meet different people. But in this psalm we see something like a growing/developing activity. Do not follow the advice of the wicked – do not absorb wrong thoughts, do not walk in their paths and do not sit among them. So we can start to get lost in our thoughts, start walking in the ways of the wicked until we sit down and make ourselves comfortable in this environment! Beloved, this passage also shows that SINERANTA will not be in the RIGHT church! Why? Because these are the people who do not allow Jesus – REALLY in the heart and in the life. They will not exist in church because they are bored there. They do not see any changes in themselves from year to year, as well as special changes in life. But what happens to RIGHT? Righteous is the man who fully and sincerely accepts Jesus as the Savior of his life. His life is changing. Such a person shares his testimony because he has something to tell others about how God works in his life. He is progressing because he is at the Living Water and bears fruit! What are the things that help you grow? What brings you life? In John 15 Jesus says that He is the Vine and we are the branches. If we stick to the Vine, we will bear fruit. And I thought, what is the best way for us to say that we are with Jesus? THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WITH WHICH WE ARE TOGETHER! If you are regularly with people who are true followers of Christ – who pray, study, grow spiritually, and who always show how God works in their lives – then you also want to be closer to God, pray more and see with the spirit, this world! We recently talked about what’s in your heart is in your mind, what’s in your mind comes out of your mouth, and you do it! If we sit most of our lives among the wicked, then the wicked/worldly looks are dripping inside of us! It drips into you until one day you go and sit among the wicked. I have often heard from believers in my life who testify that if you missed a service, studied the Bible, or spent a long time in church with Christians, then over time you also feel empty and depressed, because the wicked see the world differently. BUT WE HAVE TO LOOK AT JESUS. LOOK AT THE WORLD AND WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD THROUGH JESUS!

Our call is to bring each other; strengthen each other; to love each other; pray for one another; stand up for each other; motivate each other!

If I ask – do you want to grow spiritually, do you want to grow in faith and knowledge of God, do you want to be alive spiritually and morally, like a green tree? THAT ATTENTION TO FRIENDSHIP! FOR DIVINE FRIENDSHIP WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE THEIR CHOSEN!

Teacher 4:9-12 It is better for one to have two, for they have a better reward than their labors; If they fall, one helps the other to his feet. But woe to the one who is alone! When it falls, the other is not the one who picks it up! Also, when two people sleep together, they heat each other up, but where can you get heat alone? And if one can defeat one, then two can resist him, and the triple cord will not break so quickly.

Our God is a loving and caring God! And He is the author of the family – the family means a lot to Him! It’s good that our faith in the living God does not force us to give up ourselves, our free will and do everything. How good it is that we can walk with God and with our companions, with a Christian family, along the path of faith and build the Kingdom of Heaven! Jesus said – John 8:32 the truth will set us free! There is a very important gift of grace that God has given to all of us. God has given us the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. God teaches us through the scriptures that friends confess their sins to each other. James 5:16 teaches that you must confess your sins to one another and pray for one another to be healed. The prayer of the righteous can do much in his power. Why is it so important? Because God knows it will take the weight off our souls. This will set us free! Being vulnerable, being open, being true to your life and who you are also gives us much more compassion when we look at the actions and actions of others. We are not perfect and we don’t have to be perfect. Our task is to seek the Living Water, Jesus, who makes us holy people in honor of God! Today I want to encourage you to build relationships with each other. Build deep and real relationships. May the prayer of your friend, the righteous, be able to strongly and effectively affect you!  May God and our Friend Jesus bless our friendship so that we can be truly open and trustworthy! Amen!
